VETERANS ON THE CANAL

Toujours Dans le Fight

We’re walking the canal because we refuse to accept the slow erosion of our brothers and sisters.
Too many veterans are dying by suicide. Too many are being handed a prescription or offered MAiD instead of real solutions. We believe there’s a better way — one that restores strength, resilience, and hope.

This walk isn’t a funeral march — it’s a celebration of life, service, and the bond we share. Inspired by the legendary U.S. Silkies Hikes, we’re bringing that same spirit of camaraderie, dark humour, and outrageous fun to Canada. We’ll laugh, we’ll tell stories, and we’ll remind each other what it feels like to be alive and surrounded by people who get it.

We believe GWOT veterans are the next greatest generation. We’ve served together, bled together, and we will not quietly fade away. This walk is our stand — to wake each other up, to demand better, and to prove that our generation’s story isn’t one of decline, but of renewal.

The Hard To Kill Podcast

The Hard to Kill Podcast — From Conversations to Action

Since 2019, The Hard to Kill Podcast has been a relentless voice for the veteran community — breaking the silence on the real issues affecting our health, from chronic pain and PTSD to toxic exposures and the invisible injuries no one talks about.

Hosted by combat veteran Dave Morrow, the show has connected with thousands of veterans, families, and health professionals across Canada and beyond. Over more than 200 episodes, it’s challenged outdated systems, showcased cutting-edge solutions, and sparked conversations that have inspired real change.

The podcast’s accomplishments speak for themselves:

Raised awareness of critical veteran health issues, including the over-reliance on pharmaceuticals, the gaps in mental health care, and the need for more holistic recovery approaches.

Featured leading voices in medicine, mental health, fitness, and veteran advocacy, bringing innovative solutions to the community.

Built a global audience of veterans and allies, uniting them around a shared mission: to help our brothers and sisters live stronger, longer lives.

Supported initiatives that provide veterans with tools, training, and community to reclaim their physical and mental health.

But awareness isn’t enough. It’s time for the next step.

That’s why The Hard to Kill Podcast is taking to the streets with Veterans on the Canal — turning our mission into a living, breathing statement. We’re making veteran health impossible to ignore. We’re walking to show the public the human faces behind the statistics, to rally our community, and to demand a future where no veteran is left behind, forgotten, or offered a prescription as the only answer.

We’ve been the voice in your earbuds. Now we’re the boots on your streets.
